Plant Area Department Manager - Full Time
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Department Manager to join our award winning Garden Centre, managing a team of 17 within a seasonally driven area and an annual turnover of £3+million.
This central department covers all aspects of plants and gardening, including stoneware and garden aggregates.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the day to day running of the department including people management, promotions and stock. Our Department Managers are also responsible for their own ranging and buying of products.
A passion for gardening with a knowledge of gardening seasons together with previous people management experience is essential. It is desirable to be able to understand EPOS data together with a working knowledge of IT and spreadsheets.
Working an average of 39.75 hours per week over 4 week days plus alternate weekends.
PAY AND BENEFITS
Salary will range from £35k to £45k dependent upon experience.
