The theme of this year’s National Gardening Week is new and budding gardeners. The RHS wants to encourage first-time gardeners to get growing by creating their own unique green spaces.
To mark the week-long event, we will be sharing top tips and expert knowledge to help you flourish. From smart tools, time-saving products and clever planting ideas, we’ve got everything you need to create your dream garden.

Our Gardening and Wildlife Manager Ryan Shenton says: “With spring in the air, there’s no better time to get stuck in! We know that creating your first garden can be a daunting task so we’re here to support you one step at a time as you begin your growing journey.”

Whatever style of garden you’re looking for, our talented team can help you find the perfect planting solution. From climbing plants for privacy to blooming pots and containers to add personality, our outdoor plant area has it all.
Our website is packed full of how-to guides and videos designed to get you on the path to growing success. You can also meet our resident experts Ryan and Dave and enjoy watching their fun and practical reels.

Our Gardening Leaflets have a solution for every gardening dilemma from how to prune a rose to how to make your own compost.

Get inspired this National Gardening Week. The first steps to a fabulous garden starts with a trip to Barton Grange Garden Centre!
