Buried below ground in a field to the west of the garden centre are thousands of metres of geothermal pipes known as ‘slinkies’.
Above Ground
Once installed, the field was returned and restored for animal grazing.
Underfloor Heating
Warmth extracted from the field provides energy for the garden centre’s underfloor heating system.
