Christmas Bells Ring Out for Charity

Spread some festive cheer and goodwill with our Christmas Charity Bell decorations which are now available to buy in store. Each time you purchase one of the special baubles you will help to raise vital funds for good causes in Lancashire and beyond. The gold decorations are tagged with the name of a different charity so you can choose the cause closest to your heart. This year we have chosen five charities to benefit from our Christmas initiative. They are: Guide Dogs, Let’s Grow Preston, Heartbeat, Parkinson’s UK Preston and St Catherine’s Hospice.
Barton Grange Display Manager David Fawcett-Ropner says: “Christmas is a wonderful time to reach out and help others. As a company we are committed to supporting our local community in every way we can and we pledge to donate £2 from the sale of each bell to deserving charities. It’s a chance to get into the real spirit of Christmas by helping those in need.”
The bells are priced at £3.99 and are available to buy in our main Christmas display area. You can also find leaflets on each charity to learn more about the important work they do.
Guide Dogs
This charity aims to enhance the mobility, independence and quality of life of blind and partially-sighted people by providing guide dogs and
other services.
Let's Grow Preston
This charity empowers communities and individuals through projects such as community gardens, improving woodland and park areas, education within food growing, volunteering and providing training within horticulture.
Heartbeat
This charity based in Preston, provides essential support to people with lung and vascular conditions, to help them live longer and healthier lives with their loved one.
Parkinson's UK Preston
This charity provides information and support to help everyone feel in control of life with Parkinson’s. Funding groundbreaking research to find new and better treatments.
St Catherine's Hospice
This charity cares for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
